Update 27th April 2013: Main site back up, here. If it ever goes down again, or you can't access it for some reason, there is a back-up on Wordpress, here.
Like before, I will update this page should anything change. :)

Bio
My name is Can. That's pronounced like the 'jun' in 'junction' rather than the 'can' in 'tin can'. Strange I know, but hey, its Turkish. :p
I'm a martial arts guy, in that I enjoy training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: if you don't know what that is, imagine wrestling, but in pyjamas with more choking and joint locks. I started in November 2006, got my blue belt from Jude Samuel in Feb 2008, then my purple belt from Roger Gracie and Kev Capel in Mar 2011. I currently teach BJJ in Bristol at Artemis BJJ.
I spend lots of time babbling on the internet about BJJ, over on my blog. I also write for Jiu Jitsu Style magazine, contributing history, interviews and reviews. The full geektastic details of my training can be found at here.
Outside of BJJ, I'm keen on art: a good gallery tends to be the main attraction for me on any holiday, especially if it covers the Northern Renaissance or Mannerism. History is another favourite interest of mine, most recently indulged by a 2011 trip to Malta. I could also happily spend days watching music documentaries (current fave is probably Synth Britannia).

BJJ Beginner FAQ
The main site is currently up, but just in case, there is a back-up version over on Wordpress, here: keep in mind any internal link will relate to the main site, but the bookmark links on Wordpress should work internally (i.e., clicking on the questions in the contents at the top should send you to the relevant answer).
